“Language of Love’ is a holiday anthology filled with some of the best short stories and novellas by many of the most outstanding authors that Ylva has. I chose to read this anthology because of the list of authors. I didn’t even realize it was a holiday anthology until I began to read it.
All of the stories are good and well worth buying the book to read. They are heartwarming and romantic. Some are funny, some are more serious. All of them will make you glad you read them. There were three stories that stood out for me.
I would have known “The Friend” was written by Lee Winter even if her name had not been at the top of the story. It has her sharp and sometimes biting wit all through the story, it was humorous and sarcastic and heartwarming all at the same time. And the way Ms. Winter can make her readers actually like a caustic ice queen is just amazing. Excellent story!
Cheyenne Blue made me cry when I read “Orphans’ Christmas”. I fell in love with the characters and I want to know more about them. I do hope Ms. Blue is considering making this story into a novel.
Wow, can Andrea Bramhall write action and adventure! “The Night Before Christmas—a Cumbrian Tale” had me on the edge of my seat for most of the story, and I want to know more about these characters too. This is another story that I would love to see as a full length novel.
Buy the anthology, folks. You won’t be sorry.
An ARC was provided by the publisher for an honest review.

A timely Christmas anthology by Lee Winter along with other authors. Some where great stories and others weren’t my thing. However, I’m sure there is something for everyone. Enjoy the festive period with this book.

It‘s a wonderful book with lots of stories around Christmas. Some are definitively too short. But you can get a few insights of authors and of their writing. A nice book to get into the holiday mood.

I never know how to properly review a collection of holiday short stories with various writers. Some were amazing, others were great, one thing for sure was that they all made a great anthology before the holidays.
I loved that Language of Love allowed me to read again from writers I already love and admire, as much as finding new unexpected talents. It is a good read before the holidays.
There is a story for every reader out there.
My favorite one to read was The Friend by Lee Winter. I don’t know if it’s because I am used to her writing and I usually love her style, but the friend’s story really hit home, reminding me the first moments I brought a ‘’Friend’’ home. It brought me back in time and I loved it.
I suggest this book to anyone looking for a great holiday anthem.

Even Scrooge Would Love This
Ylva doesn’t have a bad author in its bunch and that’s a fact. In this delightful anthology you get to experience 11 of their brilliant writers. From a coming of age tale to second chances, there are established couples and new loves, this book has just about everyone covered. These sweet stories are so good, I found it impossible to pick a favourite and I think you will have a hard time deciding which is best too.
