A Beautiful Bit of Perfection by Jae
Austen gets a new job at Kudo’s Entertainment. On her first day she volunteers to decorate the Corporate Christmas Tree. The theme is Wishes… Everyone is to write their wish on a star and hang it on the tree. At the end of the day she see’s another woman messing with her tree lights. The mystery woman manages to dislodges the crystal star on the top of the tree to which lands on the top of her head and shatters, cutting her. Austen being the bossy yet sweet lady she is gets the reluctant Dee to the hospital emergency room despite Dee’s arguments. Only later does Austen find out the Dee is actually THE Danielle Saunders, AKA Attila the Hun, and sister to her new boss and also is her bosses Boss. Dee is intrigued by this woman who won’t take No for an answer and doesn’t let on to who she really is. When Austen finds out, will she forgive Dee? Can they become friends? Will Dee learn there is more to life than a toxic family and work?
This book was so much fun! A true romance with all the angst you could want. Because the author is Jae you know its going to have a great plot line that moves at a good rate and all the mushy awes and sexy goodness any fan could want.
Dee and Austen come from such different backgrounds that Austen just can’t believe Dee’s family situation until she sees it for herself. Both of them try so hard to behave in an ethical manner following rules that seem to be made for Dee alone. It is absolutely heartbreaking. She truly deserves someone like Austen who wholeheartedly and generously helps heal Dee. Austen gives her unwavering support and only once thought of Dee as Attila. They are so perfect together and extremely easy to care about and sympathize with. I loved how these beautiful women become brave and always put each other first. Thank you Jae.

This is one of my favourite lesfic novels! Absolutely LOVE this book! Another must-read by Jae.
Jae writes witty humour brilliantly, I must say.
3 words to describe “Under The Falling Star”:
Hilarious. Fun. Charming.
One of the funniest scenes Jae wrote was the ER waiting room! OMG. Laugh-Out-Loud funny! Every time I re-read the book and come to that segment, I just giggle out loud! Jae has her way of describing scenarios to a tee so you literally see the scene clearly in your mind’s eye.
Not only the hilarious scenes, but the dialogue between Austen & Dee… If you know Jae’s writing, you know that she writes amusing, facetious, witty, humorous dialogue. So, you’ll chuckle when you read Austen & Dee’s back-and-forth! 😀 Their chemistry is undeniably adorable and the their romance is deliciously slow-burning that you will cash in your investment with glee by the time they get together because, as usual, Jae’s slow-burn storytelling is worth it!
A DELIGHTFUL, MUST-READ! Perfect for the holidays, too!

Under a Falling Star by Jae
[…]
I had this book in my Wishlist for longer than I could remember. If I had known it would be that good, I would’ve pressed the little ‘’Buy’’ button way before. I feel like I am repeating myself but as usual, Jae’s writing is flawless, her characters are so real and honest, you can’t stop reading. Even the most complex of them has an intriguing history and it pushes you to keep on reading through. It was another buy I will not regret. The research Jae has put in is once again perfect. You can see from the high writing level that Jae knows what she is doing.

Jae has created a memorable, funny and heartwarming masterpiece of a romance with ‘Under a Falling Star’. Jae consistently manages to create the perfect settings, plots and characters, and weaves them together to make the perfect romance.
In this story Jae uses a little magic to help her characters, Austin and Dee meet and fall in love. She has the story begin in the magical season of the Christmas holidays. She uses a little magic with a wishing Christmas tree and of course the star tree topper that brings the main characters together in a rather startling way.
This story is filled with humor, angst, drama and love; all the elements that you need for a good romance. The characters are believable, and the setting is perfect for the story.
I also enjoyed seeing two old friends, Dawn and Aiden, from Jae’s book ‘Conflict of Interest’. I’ve always liked how Jae will sometimes link characters from some of her other books and allow us to see how they are doing.
I have certain books that become favorites of mine. These favorites are the ones I end up reading over and over. ‘Under a Falling Star’ has been added to my list . I bet it will be for you too.

Just finished reading the last sentence, so naturally I’m in this emotional place where I want to hide for the rest of the day and bask in the sweet atmosphere this story created. Unfortunatley I can’t, I have to step up and start working – but be assured there will be lots of moments where my thoughts will be drifting back to Attila 🙂
Needles to say that I will have to start “Conflict of Interest” soon….
To be clear at last: I thoroughly loved this book!!
