You, Me, and the Sunken Treasure by Georgette Kaplan is the third, and I believe the last book in The Cushing-Nevada Chronicles. All three of these novels are action/adventure stories that chronicle the tales of Easy Nevada and Dr. Candice Cushing as they reluctantly team up to find an ancient cursed relic. They fight the burning desert sands, creepy bad guys and their undeniable feeling for each other as they race to find the relic.
This book takes up where the last story ended with Candice kidnapped by a really nasty and rather insane bad guy, and Easy left for dead in the desert. We get to see the story through Easy’s eyes as she struggles to live and find Candice, and also through Candice’s eyes as she tries to stay alive and escape her captors. There is a lot of “Indiana Jones” style action in this novel which I especially enjoyed in the first novel of this series. In fact, this book feels more like the first book in the series as far as the action goes. There is also some blood and gore, but you have to expect that in this type of adventure tale.
I really enjoyed this series, and I’m glad I was able to read all three books. Just remember, this is definitely not a standalone novel. If you try to read this book before the first two in the series, you will be lost. Luckily, all three books read together in order make a great adventure story you won’t want to miss.

As others have pointed out, this is the third volume in the Easy Nevada series. Personally, I think Easy and Candace are better together than apart, but I enjoyed this book anyway, even though they weren’t together for the majority of the book.
There is action, humor, sacrifice and a layer of supernatural here…all of which I love reading.
It’s been said that the Easy Nevada series is the lesbian answer to Indiana Jones, and that’s precisely what drew me to the series in the first place. This third book stays true to that premise. So of course, there is danger. Despite her chosen moniker, Easy Nevada doesn’t have anything easy, but she does have a couple of good men she can rely on. Easy’s brother and Jacques were both loyal and dedicated to her, and both played a large part in keeping Easy alive. But this is a “campy’, rollicking, action-packed book that shouldn’t be read too seriously. I enjoyed all three books in the series, which really should be read in order.
